Details indicate that 26 illegal immigrants were detained during an operation by the Sohrab Goth Police Station near the service road at Al-Asif Square.
According to a police spokesperson, a patrolling officer carried out the raid. They also noted that the Afghan nationals had not produced proof of their Pakistani citizenship or the necessary travel documents.
The immigrants who were detained, according to the police, confessed to entering Pakistan illegally. The Foreigners' Act was used to file cases against them, and more research is being done.
Three Afghan nationals were detained by Karachi police earlier in August for residing there without authorization. Three Afghans were detained by the New Town police as a result of insufficient paperwork.
