A group of the PML-political N's rivals heckled and harassed Minister of Information Maryam  Aurangzeb on Sunday while she was in a coffee shop in London, United Kingdom.

A group of PTI supporters surrounded the minister as she went to buy coffee from a café close to Marble Arch station, started yelling at her, and started filming her.

The female PTI supporters persisted in accusing her of inappropriate behavior and calling her a thief.

"Maryam Aurangzeb is spending Pakistan's looted money in London," a woman shouted in the coffee shop.

Maryam  was surrounded by PTI protesters who wouldn't let her be during what seemed to be her time off from her official duties as a minister.

Several online users, including Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari, the daughter of PPP co-chair Asif Zardari, and Miftah Ismail, a colleague of Mariyum's in the PML-N, came to the minister's defense after the video of the incident went viral on social media and criticized the PTI for inciting hatred and encouraging misbehavior among its supporters who harass people who disagree with their party's ideology.

The assault and harassment Maryam  experienced in the coffee shop was also brought to light by Maryam herself, who referred to it as the "toxic impact" of Imran Khan's "politics of hate and divisiveness."

"I stayed and responded to all of their inquiries. They are unfortunate victims of IK's propaganda. We will keep working to counter IK's divisive politics and unite people "Tweeted she.

Miftah expressed her admiration for her sister, @Maryam  A, on Twitter, writing: "I salute my sister for her grace and composure in the face of such harassment and baseless lies from that uncouth woman (who can be heard but thankfully cannot be seen)"

Bakhtawar tweeted in support of Maryam
for standing up to the "trolls," saying, "Ugly trolls silent on Imran Khan caught stealing from charity, calling OBL a Shaheed, calling victims of terrorism blackmailers & justifying rape on clothing."

"Massive respect," one Twitter user wrote.

The supporters of the PTI chairman's party have previously harassed the information minister. At the Masjid-e-Nabawi (PBUH) in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, earlier this year, Aurangzeb was surrounded by a mob that hurled insults and abuse at her and Minister for Narcotics Control Shahzain Bugti. After the incident, at least five Pakistani nationals were detained.
