Lahore - As 191 additional dengue virus cases were recorded in Punjab during the course of the last day, the overall number of cases is rising. The Health Department reports that a total of 3288 dengue cases have been reported so far this year, while 4 individuals have died from the virus and 787 patients are receiving treatment in various institutions throughout the province.

The Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department reported 84 dengue cases in Rawalpindi, 60 cases in Lahore, 10 cases in Gujranwala, 05 cases in Multan, two cases each in Okara, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Dera Ghazi Khan, Chakwal, and Sialkot, two cases each in Lodhran, Bahawalpur, Kasur, Khanewal, Rahim Yar Khan, Khushab.All suspected dengue virus cases have been monitored, and testing are being done on them. During continuous daily observation, the anti-dengue team eliminated dengue larvae at 2667 locations throughout the province. During the previous 24 hours, the anti-dengue squad conducted surveillance at 427,986 indoor and 108,254 outdoor locations to look for dengue larvae.
