Ahmad Jamal Khan, a gifted student in Karachi's ninth grade, has created an app that enables persons with speech impairments to interact with others by simply touching on a few buttons. Since it is a free and ad-free app, he has declined to retain any advantage from it. The app is called "Kya Baat App" and can be downloaded for iPhones via an apk file as well as the Android Play Store.
According to Ahmad, the app is:
"Kya Baat is especially made for persons who are unable to speak communicate due to conditions like tracheostomy or stroke. Users of this software will be able to contact others, in particular their caretakers, by just tapping a button.
The software makes use of male and female recorded voices that may convey various real-life circumstances to others and assist users in explaining their current position to others. For instance, if they press a button while in pain or when they are hungry, the mobile speaker will say the appropriate thing. The entire programme is in Urdu and is simple to use; no password or other details are needed; you may start using the app as soon as you download it.
