SAMARKAND - In order to attend the annual gathering of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived at the Congress Center Samarqand.
The summit would be attended by the leaders of SCO members and observer states, as well as the heads of SCO organisations and other distinguished visitors.
Important global and regional challenges, including as climate change, food security, energy security, and sustainable supply chains will be discussed by the SCO leaders.
Additionally, they would provide their consent to documents and agreements that would outline the future course of SCO member nations' collaboration.
The Prime Minister met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev today in Samarkand to discuss bilateral relations.
Shehbaz Sharif will also have meetings with Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The Prime Minister will also visit the mausoleum of Imam Bukhari before wrapping up his stay.
