Shehbaz's only strategy is to beg for money: Imran Khan

According to Imran Khan, no party has ever in the history of the nation enjoyed as much popularity as the PTI.

Imran Khan, the chairman of the PTI, stated in ISLAMABAD on Thursday that influential groups have taken into account the support of his party among the general public. He continued, "If they continue to drive us to the brink, then we will have no choice but to call for protest."

In his message to the nation through video link, Imran claimed that no party in Pakistani history had ever enjoyed such widespread support; the PTI is the only federal party in the nation that maintains national unity.

"Pakistan is harmed by the delay in holding elections. To prevent the nation's economy from imploding due to the manner this "imported government" is handling business, free and fair elections should be held as soon as possible. Even if their corruption trials are coming to a conclusion, they are ruining the nation.

Imran claimed that he wanted to warn the populace that, in the absence of political stability, no one would be able to prevent the economy from collapsing. Political stability is a prerequisite for economic recovery, according to this statement. If there is no political stability, there won't be any economic stability, he pointed out.

The former prime minister asserted that because the "imported government" had no standing or value in the external and internal markets, no one had faith in it. He emphasised that despite claims that the country's situation will improve once the IMF deal was reached, the economic situation still faced the entire country.

Imran claimed to have discussed the path of the nation's economy with his staff. "Now I worry that the government has no economic rescue strategy." Make whatever justification for not conducting elections, but only Pakistan would suffer, the PTI leader declared.

He criticised the administration and claimed that powerful criminals were in positions of authority. He added that the prime minister would be found guilty in the FIA case while 60% of the cabinet was out on bail.

"Except for the worry of dropping their cases, they are not concerned about the state of the nation; these thieves said they had a very poor economy. Shehbaz had a strong desire to become prime minister. Some people believed he was a very capable man who stood next to Einstein and would immediately change the course of the nation. The external deficit is the economy's largest issue, he continued.

He noted that the highest external deficit in Pakistan's history at the time his administration took office in 2018 was $20 billion, and he said that the 'imported government' was responsible for $16 billion of that imbalance. He claimed that although the PMLN left $16.2 billion in reserves up till the conclusion of the government, the PTI only left $9.8 billion.

"Even after the IMF agreement, exports are $24 billion, foreign remittances are $19 billion, and reserves are $8.8 billion. Exports were $32 billion during our administration; we increased the amount of money entering the nation and decreased the deficit. In addition to fighting Corona, we boosted the economy. The globe congratulated Pakistan for being one of the top three nations to combat corona. According to the World Bank, Pakistan was the subcontinental nation that created the most jobs following the pandemic.

Imran claimed that aside from requesting funding from outside, the administration has no other plan to address the flood crisis. "Shehbaz Sharif didn't let go of the money until the UN Secretary General arrived. How is the nation being run?

When we left the administration, a dollar was worth 178 rupees, and it is now worth 236 rupees, according to Imran. Why has the dollar risen in price so much? When we were alive, one unit of electricity cost 16 rupees; today, it costs 36 rupees. Oil cost $103 on the international market, and we were selling gasoline and fuel for Rs146 a litre. The price of oil today on the international market is $93; the importing government is selling diesel for $248 and petrol for $236; and gas costs are also rising.Gas prices will rise by 250 percent, while the cost of bread has doubled today. In our day, a kilogramme of flour cost 50 rupees, while today in Karachi, a kilogramme costs 100 rupees. Previously, rice cost 100 rupees per kg, but today it costs 225 rupees. The price of pulses has increased from 225 to 360 rupees. When we were alive, inflation was 18 percent; today, it is more than 45 percent. All of this took place in five months. The common man is suffering greatly as a result, he said.

Imran claimed that the IMF and World Bank believe Pakistan is moving toward a situation similar to that of Sri Lanka. "This administration is in a dire condition, and Pakistan must return $30 billion in loans to the IMF, the World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank this year. Only $8 billion will be provided to us; the other $22 billion will need to be raised from other countries. When we were alive, Pakistan's credit rating was positive; today, it is no longer favourable.

Imran claimed that he had made it plain to the influential members of the nation that they had a difficult time managing the economy and that things would get worse if there was any political turmoil. He claimed that those in positions of authority "could have stopped this conspiracy against us."
