In their final game in the SAFF Women's Cup, the Pakistan women's football team defeated the Maldives by a score of 7-0 to end the competition on a high note.
Nadia Khan, a star player for the greens, scored four goals to become the first Pakistani woman to score four goals in a women's international game.
Young Rameen Fareed opened the scoring for Pakistan in the 39th minute with a goal from 25 metres, giving the team the lead. In the 48th minute, Khadija Kazmi successfully converted a penalty shoot into a goal, doubling Pakistan's advantage.
Nadia then had the opportunity to showcase her abilities.
With her superb control and exceptional talents, the Pakistani player who is residing in the UK outperformed everyone and scored four goals in a row.
She added goals in the 53rd, 78th, and 84th minutes to complete her hat trick. In the 89th minute, she once more found the back of the net to score her fourth goal.
She became the first Pakistani to ever score four goals in a game, and with this one performance, she joined Malika e Noor and Hajra Khan on the list of Pakistani female players with the most goals scored internationally in a career.
In extra time, Pakistan added one more goal by Anmol Heera to make the final tally 7-0.
With this, Pakistan's 2022 SAFF Women Cup campaign came to a successful conclusion.
The team had already lost to Bangladesh and India, preventing them from moving on to the semifinal. The fact that this was Pakistan's first international competition since 2014 should be noted.
