A woman in Karachi receives a counterfeit fake currency note from an ATM.

Money Withdrawal From Atm Pakistan.

KARACHI: An ATM in Karachi's Saddar neighbourhood gave a woman a "counterfeit money note," which left her perplexed.

After withdrawing Rs. 500 from an ATM in the Saddar neighbourhood, a woman from Karachi claimed to have received a phoney bank note. The bogus bank note had the message "Bachoon ka khel," according to her.

The woman apparently brought up the issue with the staff members of the private bank, but the management declined to handle her complaint.

The afflicted woman also made a post on social media to alert people to the proliferation of counterfeit cash in Karachi.

A group involved in the distribution of phoney cash notes in bachat bazaars and markets was nabbed by Karachi police a few days ago.

Five guys were detained by Khokhropar police station staff on suspicion of distributing fake cash in various Karachi markets.

According to the police, the suspects were part of a gang that distributed bogus currency at markets. Additionally, police found counterfeit notes worth more than Rs118,000.

It is important to highlight that the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has taken the greatest steps to identify and combat bogus currency.
