Leaked PM House audio is described as a security issue by Imran Khan.

Imran Khan During Conference

ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan, the PTI chairman and former prime minister, claimed on Saturday that the leaked conversation between he and Azam Khan was a telephone conversation held through a secure connection at PM House and that it poses a threat to national security if such discussions are made public.

Khan wondered what would happen if conversations from Prime Minister House were leaked to Pakistan's enemies while speaking exclusively on ARY News' Sawal Ye Hai show.

He remarked, "It appears the Prime Minister House's secure connection is recorded, which was then hacked and made public."

Regarding the dialogues in the recording that was leaked, Khan claimed that he had covered every topic in the cypher. "At that time, there was an OIC summit in Pakistan, therefore I wanted to keep the subject quiet."

After being given to the National Security Committee, which authorised sending a demarche over the incident, the contents of the cypher were made public, he claimed.

Before sending a demarche, the country involved was not named, but afterward everyone was aware of it, according to Khan.

Speaking about the theft of the cypher, Khan claimed that a copy of it was delivered to the Pakistani president, who then sent a copy to the country's chief court. In addition, he said, "a copy was delivered to the speaker of the National Assembly, who also expressed opposition to view the contents of it."

The leader of PTI said it was shameful for a country's undersecretary to summon Pakistan's envoy and instruct him to depose the current prime minister. I wish to commend Asad Majeed for using cypher to send a protest regarding the issue.

According to Khan, they do not intend to sour relations with the US; rather, they merely wished to convey that such behaviour will not be accepted.
