Inflation is out of control, and PTI will protest that, says Fawad Chaudhary.

Fawad Chaudhary claimed that because the nation's economic administrators had utterly failed to do their jobs, the PTI would lead a strong protest effort against the out-of-control inflation.

ISLAMABAD: Senior Vice-President of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, stated on Saturday that the PTI would lead an aggressive protest effort against the out-of-control inflation because the nation's economic administrators had utterly failed to do their jobs.

After a meeting of the PTI core committee, Chaudhry spoke to the media and said, "The party has resolved to call on its local cells to hold demonstrations against rising costs due to the country's current economic condition."

He made it obvious that Pakistan would hold elections soon, whether or not anyone liked it. According to Fawad, the Constitution does not allow for any technocrat governments and that democracy is the only factor that will determine Pakistan's future. If such a measure is taken, it will be extra-constitutional, according to him, and will be viewed as martial law.

Together with the leader of the Awami Muslim League, Sheikh Rashid, he briefed the media about the core committee's decisions and stated that the party's workers should wait for Imran Khan's final decision in September before responding fully to the campaign of religious hatred against the PTI chairman.

All senior party leadership members attended the core committee meeting, which was presided over by PTI Chairman Imran Khan. The conference lamented the destruction brought on by the floods, particularly in Sindh and Balochistan. The Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments were praised at the meeting for the outstanding job they had done in rehabilitating flood victims.

According to Fawad, the core group expressed grave concern over Pakistan's deteriorating economic position. He claimed that there was an increase in robberies and street crimes. The fact that robberies were happening in bakeries and grocery stores was quite concerning. He observed that the populace of Karachi is struggling mightily to combat inflation. According to him, Pakistani factories are closing, and between 2.5 and 3 lakh people have lost their employment in the previous four months. According to recent reports, a million people would soon be jobless, Ch Fawad said.

Inflation is there on the one hand, while unemployment is rising on the other. He argued that the only option to salvage the nation was through quick elections.

According to Fawad, economic instability follows political instability. He continued, "We are concerned that the rupee would not be able to stabilise even after the IMF agreement, and the situation on the markets is also getting worse. Apart from sobbing and shouting in press appearances, the prime minister and finance minister have no solutions or plans.

"We congratulate the people of Pakistan and overseas Pakistanis who responded to Imran Khan's request in the telethon by contributing Rs11 billion to the flood victims in under 5 hours." He claimed that Imran Khan ordered the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments to develop a strategy for how to use the funds received to aid flood victims as soon as possible, and that Dr. Sania Nishtar and the relevant authorities have been urged to put the plan into action as soon as feasible.

The PTI leader claimed that from September 26 to October 9, the month of Rehmat-ul-lil-Alamin will be observed in Punjab and KP provinces with full religious fervour.

He claimed that Imran Khan, the chairman of the PTI, had the full support of the core committee. "We will respond appropriately to this hate campaign, and we appreciate the ulema's condemnation of it. He insisted that Imran Khan had the complete backing of the Ulema.

"Our struggle is primarily for the people's control in the country," Fawad stated. A political party is chosen by the electorate, yet they lack the power to rule. Maintaining Pakistan's political equilibrium is crucial, and we will not give up in our fight for democracy's triumph.

He clarified that PTI groups across the nation have been urged to demonstrate against inflation. In the following two weeks, the final decision will be made if the administration does not proceed toward new elections. "PTI organisations should hold off until the final decision, which will be made soon. Wait till the final decision is made in September, workers. Whether somebody likes it or not, Pakistan will hold elections shortly. He was clear that the people would make the final decision.

He argued that the nation has two choices: either it will become a model democracy like North Korea or Burma, or it will proceed in the opposite direction. He expressed hope that Pakistanis would fight up for true democracy and their rights.

Fawad referred to the former president Asif Ali Zardari as a "spent force," adding that no one was afraid of him. While the entire family travelled to the British Embassy to mourn the passing of the Queen, Asif Zardari did not express compassion for the flood victims. He continued by saying that Zardari has nothing to do with Pakistan and that he accidently became a politician after marrying Benazir.

The PTI leader said that the incoming government should act soon since it is running out of time.
